Jheryl Wilson Named Star-Ledger College Summer League All-Star

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ - NJIT rising sophomore men's basketball guard Jheryl Wilson was named a Star-Ledger College Summer League All-Star for his play this summer in the top college summer league in New Jersey.

The Star-Ledger College Summer League, an NCAA-sanctioned summer league, brings together men's college players from all levels to compete in regular competition in New Brunswick, NJ, at "The Barn" which is on the campus of Rutgers. Most of the players in the league are New Jersey residents, attend college in New Jersey, or both.

Wilson, the leading scorer for the team sponsored by Bignell Planning, was one of 10 players named to the all-league team. In addition to NJIT, institutions represented on the all-league team included Rutgers (five players), Fairleigh Dickinson (two), Yale and Stonehill, an NCAA Division II program.

The regular season Most Valuable Player for the league was Rutgers big man Hamady N'Diaye and the Playoff MVP was Mike Rosario, a high school all-American who will be a freshman at Rutgers.
